In the beginning of the 80s, all the players of hurdy-gurdy were confronted with the problems of the sound system(dubbing) of their instrument. It was very rare that a sound recording restores correctly the various constituents of the instrument. Furthermore, associated with the other instruments, we rarely heard(understood) the hurdy-gurdy.
I had then the idea, rather than to add a system of development(increase) to the existing hurdy-gurdy, to create a new instrument, conceived for the electroacoustics.
The first prototype of electroacoustic hurdy-gurdy Siorat, which I presented to St Chartier in 1986, was based on the characteristics of the traditional instrument: the same number of strings, the same possibilities of game.

The interest of the professional musicians for this new model of hurdy-gurdy which I had just finalized was immediate.
The first interested artists were of nederland and I thank them for it:
- René et Gabby of "Appellation controlée".

It is thanks to the collaboration with the professional musicians, that all the innovations which we find on the electroacoustic hurdy-gurdy Siorat as we know it today, were able to be born.
In the history of the hurdy-gurdy, a new page was spirit to spell.

Throughout these years, this fruitful collaboration with the best of them, allowed the hurdy-gurdy to go out of the " cultural ghetto " in which it had remained stuffy until then.
To quote only someone from it:
- Gilles Chabenat
- Marc Anthony
- Isabelle Pignol
- Valentin Clastrier
